Modern Holiday Table Settings & Style Guide
This holiday season we want to take some risks. We want to set the table bold with color (or just remove any hue all together). We want metallics, we want unexpected charm, we want to bring the nature indoors (whether that be with natural branches or synthetic spunk) ... Basically we want to shake up every past holiday table top decor and create something thrilling, different and unexpected for our guests this year!
There are a lot of trends circulating on the internet, so we've sifted through and pinpointed three modern holiday table settings that have the most playful and exciting style...and can also be easily shifted towards your personal style without feeling drastic or overwhelming.
Think of this as your holiday dining room cheat sheet - and we've even highlighted the key pieces you'll need to pull the look together at home.

Modern Holiday Table Setting #1: Saturated Sophistication
Bold, bright...filled with colorful cheer. This look is the easiest to pull off - select a seasonally-inspired color (berry, pine, winter whites) and then just take off running with that color and layer with botanicals, textiles and accents in the centerpiece. We especially love this idea of saturated berry, it switches up on the usual Christmas spread and feels a bit more exciting (and unexpected) as the usual holiday mauve or crimson. Mixing your color of choice with neutrals, such as white lien, cream dinnerware and gold flatware, keeping the color more sophisticated.

Eclectic and neutral, this table comes to life with the layering of texture, finishings and global accents. By keeping the color palette monochromatic, you can play with patterns, sheen and eccentric flare without feeling cluttered or chaotic. We love this mix of mercury glass and metallic lanterns on the table rather than your typical botanicals, it creates a surprising and whimsical winter centerpiece that could easily stick around as your dining decor though the new year.
