Happy Hour: Creme De Violette Spring Cocktail

Dine X Design | Violet Cocktail Recipe Spring fever  is coming on strong with the celebration of pale colored purple buds appearing on bare tree branches and the intoxicating smell of seasonal blossoms around our homes. Dreams of summer vacations, golden lit evenings and something other than a wool sweater are tap dancing through everyone's mind as we start seeing things come back to life.

Needless to say, those plumb colored  plumes have got us in a tizzy!

Violet hues have not only been popping up in our gardens, but pretty much everywhere thanks to Pantone's color of the year - from blenders, to countertops and perfect periwinkle painted walls  -  kitchens and dining rooms around the world are embracing this refreshing tint with both bold and delicate applications.

Let's just say we are lilac-loving it!

In fact, we are so obsessed that we asked cocktail connoisseur Elana, of Stir & Strain, to whip up  a colorful cocktail dedicated not only this joyous color trend, but the season itself.

You better believe that it's floral, purple and delicious - Cheers!

Mention “purple drinks” and an electric azure cocktail loaded with sugar and a tiny colorful umbrella will spring to mind. Sophisticated and delicate will surely not. This play on the Aviation cocktail however proves to be the latter, with its soft violet/blue hue and slightly floral aroma.  - Elana | Stir And Strain
