Do you have a routine or game plan when it comes to styling with props for your photos?
I would say I have a very informal plan. My styling is usually ingredient-driven, so the colors of the food are what usually initially spark a creative direction for me. Sometimes I integrate particular props/textiles based on functionality, and sometimes it's purely to execute a color or pattern direction. I love playing with color compliments and creating geometric patterns with ingredients.
What's your Serving Style? Brand new/on trend, unique vintage originals, particular colors?
I would describe my style as eclectic. I love utilizing something bright and modern, and then grounding it a bit with classic vintage pieces or mixing in metallics. Many of my props are from my Nana, so I am really inspired by those pieces from the 60s & 70s. A big supply of bright, geometric textiles are always good to have on hand, and are an easy way to quickly change the feel of a picture. In terms of color, I love playing with coral and canary yellow.
Do you have a favorite piece in your collection? What's the story behind it?
I have a vintage turquoise martini set gifted to me by the aforementioned Nana. Legend has it that she and my grandpa got it as a wedding gift for friends, and ended up not attending the wedding due to a little tiff (what scandal!), so they kept it! Not only is it great for styling purposes, but it always gets a couple "ooh's and ahh's" when use it for a big batch cocktails for company.

If you could get a hold of any item for your kitchen or tabletop, what do you currently have your eye on?
In a smaller, more immediate time frame, I would love a set of gold flatware, as well as a set of gold, geometric cocktail picks. In a more long-haul sense, I would like to eventually be known for my arsenal of pasta-making accessories. If I can achieve that "grandma who always has a pot of sauce on the stove" status when I'm 80, I think I'll have lived my life correctly.
If you could express your personal style in 3 emojis what would they be?
Dani's ability to joyfully arrange blood oranges and flower petals have us wishing for a sea breeze happy hour and eyeballing current traffic reports to see how soon we can settle in on a beach chair, cocktail in hand...is it the weekend yet?!
